How it began
A church born of faith and obedience.
After five years pastoring Emmaus Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Robert LeCount Jr. was led by the Holy Spirit to organize a new church — one that would become Disciples of Christ Christian Fellowship Baptist Church.
What followed was a year of faith: a vision embraced, a home secured, and a congregation born on Resurrection Sunday. This is how God brought it to pass.
To God be the glory.

The vision is set
At Missionary Tabernacle Baptist Church, Pastor LeCount gathered with associate Minister David Ridgeway, Deacon A. Hearn, and the faithful members who believed in what God was calling them to. Together, they agreed unanimously to follow the vision — because where there is no vision, the people perish.

A place to gather
A lease was signed for a home in Norwood Plaza. Until then, the young congregation had worshipped alongside their home church, Missionary Tabernacle — and they remain grateful to Pastor Green and the Missionary family for that act of kindness.

The first service
On Resurrection Sunday, Disciples of Christ held its very first Fellowship Service. God blessed the ministry greatly from the start.

The first baptism
Favor came early — the first soul came forward for baptism. Since then, God has continued to add to the church, some by Christian experience and others as candidates for baptism.

A church home on Edgewood
The congregation purchased the building on Edgewood Avenue West that the church still calls home today.
Today
Still growing
The church has grown past 130 members — and is still adding. To God be the glory for all He has done, and all He will do.
